Reader Name: "ChannelStar"
1. BIO OF A TAROT CARD READER:
I chose the reader name of "ChannelStar" because it happens to be relevant to many of my life experiences, which began as a young child. Both star travelling and channeling energies has been with me throughout my life. For many years as a high tech corporate recruiter I worked near San Francisco, California, and quietly found these unique skills to be very helpful. But that's not where my metaphysical and ultimate Tarot based journey began.

(Tarot cards depicted above are top left to right: 9 of Swords, Wheel of Fortune, The World, The Hanged Man in reverse, The Tower in reverse, The Fool.)
Many years ago when my father was an on site field geologist for Gulf Oil, we traveled extensively throughout the southwestern United States and lived near Roswell, New Mexico. In 1947, my father and his co-workers shared a truck ride home one early evening when the night sky was just losing is last bit of day light and a large ball of light crossed over low in the sky above the road ahead of them. According to my father, they were all in a state of shock and silently agreed not to discuss the event - and never did in the years to follow. It was at this time as a youngster that my night-time traveling and learning amongst the stars began.
Fortunately, I have not been limited in the study of metaphysics, thanks to a very supportive and enlightened family and the fact that I lived more than 30 years in the fertile metaphysical soil of the San Francisco Bay Area didn't hurt either.
After experiencing many different types of esoterica and studies of the Universal Laws, ultimately my metaphysical home base became the world of Tarot. Regardless of the poor reputation Tarot has had in the past, I still stand firm that it is an inviolet tool for becoming more self aware. It becomes a poor device when misused to "fortune telling".
My best example for using ancient Tarot cards for self guidance and inspiration is that of a person trying to drive a car from the back seat. Why would you give up your right to make and control your own destiny, when you yourself can have the ultimate control?
Making the best decisions and choices for yourself are the greatest aspects of the human journey.
The ancient cards of Tarot are a tool by which we become laser focused on our own unique journeys. For several years I've been reading both professionally and as well on a volunteer site called: American Tarot Association's wonderful "Free Tarot Network". As a reader and mentor for both their single Tarot card and multi-Tarot card sites I continue to hone my own Tarot reading skills; while at the same time working through my role as President of CTN with students who live in many different countries through the Canadian Tarot Network, Intl.
By the way, remember that no association in the Tarot world is or should be akin to General Motors or Dell Computer, with a hierarchal management command; but rather a group of like-minded Tarot enthusiasts who enjoy volunteering their time to the Tarot community in an authentic and ethical way.
My desire and intent for this Tarot Card Cafe website is to offer an "e-place" where all Tarot enthusiasts may come to read about miscellaneous Tarot card studies, Tarot newsletters,Tarot card readings, Tarot card puzzles and in general all thingsTarot.
Upon review and approval by this website manager, I warmly welcome submissions of Tarot articles, designs and questions or chats through the website's contact form.

2. CODE OF ETHICS: "HONOUR TAROT AND WORK WITHIN IT"
I do not give advice, especially in legal, medical, psychological, financial and technical matters. A referal to these professionals is in order and should be done immediately without going further into a reading.
I do not give negative or harmful information, but rather seek to inspire, uplift and encourage a querent, even with seemingly dark questions or dark Tarot cards. There is always, a solution or answer to guide and inspire!
With just a few words of wisdom a new perspective is born and can be held close to the heart ~ HOPE. This, ladies and gentlemen is my passion.
It is a personal goal to understand and hear what the querent is saying and asking in a caring and compassionate manner.
I do not give "third party" readings where I am asked what another person thinks. That's ridiculous in the first place and in the second place it would be unfair, unkind and immoral to invade the private thoughts of another person.
What another person thinks is not my business. What a querent asks me in a Tarot reading is my business if it is an honest question about their life journey and how they might hook up with their sub-conscious to make a better choice about something or change their perspective to have more hope and sunshine in their life.
"Do no harm.", applies in the world of Tarot, just as it does in other professions where danger can lurk for a naive or trusting client.

Honesty is the cornerstone of Tarot and the opportunity to demonstrate it comes around the corner to us in all sorts of ways. Thus, a Tarot professional, student, teacher or enthusiast must be on alert at all times to "Honour Tarot and Work Within It".
