“The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need” was first published in 1982! And it is still one of the best reference books to aid in performing Tarot card readings. It is an oversized soft cover and has 441 pages that include a great index, bibliography reference guide and other unusual references to help the reader understand and use Astrology.

The author introduces the concept of astrology by saying: “Astrology holds out the promise that you do not have to pass through life reacting blindly to experience, that you can within limits direct your own destiny (free will) and in the process reach a truer self-understanding. “ And, “It has been described as a stairway leading into your deeper self.”

I use this book to help me gain additional insight when working with Tarot and clients. I am not an astrologer, nor do I wish to become one. But I can appreciate the exceptional guidance this book offers. I have yet to find another astrology book that is so easy to read and follow. For instance, “influences” are given little attention in many astrology books. But this book paints a clearer, broader picture for us giving the “moon signs”, the “rising signs”, the “placement of planets” and the “significance of the twelve houses”.

Simplified tables that actually only require the laying down of a ruler across the birth date makes the whole process very easy to use without diminishing any meanings and making the whole book shallow in its ability to offer robust astrological translations.

This astrology book offers the Tarot reader an easy-to-understand, all-in-one astrology guide. This is a beautifully “put together” reference tool that includes exceptional art work of large, full-page black ink block prints. I shall continue to appreciate this fine guide to astrology by Joanna Martine Woolfolk and highly recommend it to any person who wants to add more meaning to their Tarot readings. Great job Joanna!
