NUMEROLOGY AND TAROT

The more you practice with your Tarot cards using the key words, phrases and concepts, the quicker you’ll learn to master the symbolism that paints the picture and tells the story. However, to “kick it up a notch” and add more zest to your Tarot card readings, try adding Numerology! The simple chart below gives the basic key “Numerology” meanings that are simple and easy to learn.

Numerology can be applied and used whenever there is a number on a Tarot card. So what do we do with Tarot court cards that do not have numbers? Court cards do play an important role within a Tarot card reading, even though they do not technically fall within Numerology range – or do they?

Court cards are still included within the reading, regardless of the numbered cards that usually surround them – unless it’s a one-card reading. Just remember that as you study the court cards they do not always have to represent other people. They represent a higher octave of the two’s (Pages), three’s (Knights), four’s (Queens) and five’s (Kings). And when they represent ourselves or perhaps other people around us, there can be a more focused meaning that comes into play within the Tarot card reading about either the energy or persons having an affect on your life.

It’s your querent’s insights, emotions, relationships, ideas, spiritual path, financial situation, attitude, health and career that are key to the important issues that come up in a Tarot card reading.  Numerology can add extra information and guidance to the translatation of Tarot cards in a reading, but adding Numerology to Tarot card readings is not required.  Just think of it as adding something extra to a reading.

Tarot cards have embedded Astrological and Numerological systems.  And as we learn the meanings of each Tarot card,  within the secret Tarot card recipe are the ingredients of Astrology and Numerology, as intended by the ancient designers of Tarot.

Overall, in Tarot card readings we do not seek to blame others for our issues.  We can learn to resolve issues in our lives by the practice of making better choices and decisions and by taking full responsibility for them. As you practice with your Tarot cards you’ll begin to notice a flow or progression of the numbers as you move from the number “one” to the number “ten”. Here is a simple key to help you learn the basic "journey" of the numbers:

1. We start something new.

2. We grow and bring balance to this something new.

3. We grow more rapidly, but we’re beginning to understand.
(Two things come together to make a third.)

4. We bring order to chaos and we grow more. (Foundation.)

5. We change because of this and something new has been added, so we can grow more.
                (Chaos, change, transition.)

6. We bring these new changes into harmony with whom and what we are. (Success.)

7. We stop to evaluate and measure our successes. (Insight.)

8. We wrap things up and prepare to complete this stage of growth.
(Success and energy come together to communicate to the next level.)

9. We complete the new project we started and get ready for the next one.
                (Preparing to move onward.)

10. We have completed a cycle or phase and we now move onward to our next cycle.
                (Completion.)

Understanding how numbers work within our Tarot card readings allows us to get a quick sense of what came before and know what’s up ahead. The numerological system for reading Tarot cards is a very interesting and enlightening part of the overall messages we obtain from our Tarot card readings.
Using this simple numerological system for each Tarot card allows the Tarot card reader to automatically add the extra guidance that numbers can give to compliment and give fresh new energy to a Tarot card reading.
